The AI Name Check  |  Kansas City Health Insurance

We asked AI who the best health insurance brokers in Kansas City are. One name showed up three times. Is it yours?

When someone in Kansas City asks an AI assistant which broker to call, it does not read a directory. It names a handful. On the night of July 31, 2026, we asked four different AI engines the same question and logged exactly who each one named.

The Receipt

Who each engine named, word for word

Not a directory, not an ad. The verbatim brokers and agencies four AI engines returned when asked the exact question a Kansas City shopper would ask, logged the evening of July 31, 2026, Central time.

One name, three engines

Jeff David Insurance was named by 3 of 4 engines on July 31, 2026: ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Every other broker or agency named that night showed up on one engine, or two at most. If your agency was not named on any of the four, it was invisible for this question, on these engines, that night.

Why this matters now

People shopping for a health insurance broker used to scroll ten blue links and pick one. Now they ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Google AI "who is the best health insurance broker near me," and the assistant names two or three. If it does not know your agency, the client is gone before your phone rings.

Perplexity showed its work on July 31, 2026: 15 cited sources, including Reddit threads, a Yelp top ten list, mployeradvisor, and Facebook group threads. That is where these engines pull names from, not just where you rank on Google. We do not sell a score. We sell the receipt. And we prove it works by running it on ourselves in public first, losses included, at namebeam.ai.

Method

How this was run. The question "Who are the best health insurance brokers or agencies in Kansas City? Who would you recommend?" was asked verbatim of four engines on the evening of July 31, 2026, America/Chicago time, and logged with the date and the verbatim brokers and agencies each one named, in the order returned. Engines run this capture: ChatGPT on a logged-in free account, Gemini, Perplexity on a Pro account labeled as such, and Google AI Overview. Claude was not run for this capture, so this report reflects 4 engines, not 5. This is four engines on one date, not a ranking, endorsement, or statement about any broker's or agency's quality, and engine answers change over time. Names shown are the names each engine returned; none were added, removed, or reordered. Perplexity's citations, 15 sources, are logged in the raw transcript and include community forums and roundup lists alongside carrier and broker sites. Namebeam is an educational and marketing service and does not guarantee rankings, traffic, or revenue.
