AI Visibility FAQ

AI visibility, plain answers

FAQ

The questions buyers actually ask

Will AI recommend my business?

Maybe, but most checks say no. Of the four dated checks we ran on 2026-08-01, three businesses were named by zero AI engines and one was named by all four. The only way to know is to look.

How do I see what ChatGPT says about my company?

Ask it the way a customer would: who should I hire for your service in your city. Or run our free check. Or run our free check. We ask all five engines, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overview, the questions your customers ask, and hand you the dated transcript.

Is this SEO?

No. SEO is about ranking in search results. This is about whether AI assistants name your business when someone asks who to hire. Related, not the same thing.

What does the free check include?

We run your business name through the major AI engines with real customer questions and send you the dated transcript of what they said. Free. No card, no signup.

Why do you publish your own losses?

Because proof should come before purchase. We scored zero on our own first check and published it, dated, at proof.namebeam.ai. We have been climbing from that number in public ever since. We hold every vendor, including ourselves, to that standard.

Which AI engines does Namebeam check?

Five: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overview. Google AI Overview is the one most free checkers skip, and it is the one sitting on top of the search results your customers already use.

Do I get a score or the actual answer?

The actual answer. You get the dated raw transcript of what each engine said, word for word. A score is somebody's opinion about the transcript. The transcript is the evidence, and you can hand it to a client or a boss without asking them to trust us.

What actually gets a local business named by AI?

We measured it. Across 99 citations from 5 real dated business checks, the business's own website carried 49.5 percent of citations, directory and profile listings 20.2 percent, community and social 15.2 percent, and roundup listicles 2.0 percent. For a local business, your own site and the free directory ring do almost all the work.

Is that the same for a software or vendor search?

No, and this is where one-size fix lists fail. Across 93 citations on our own category and tool checks, vendor websites carried 40.9 percent, community 24.7 percent, roundup listicles 17.2 percent, and news 7.5 percent. Roundups matter roughly eight times more for a vendor search than for a local one.

How many businesses actually fail the check?

Most of the ones we have run. Of the four dated checks we ran on 2026-08-01, three were named by zero engines and one was named by all four. We publish the losing checks with the winning ones.

How is Namebeam scored?

A 100 point rubric across five factors: Findable 30, Reachable 15, Quotable 20, Bookable 15, Trusted 20. The same rubric is applied to us and published, so you can check our math before you pay us anything.

How many paying customers does Namebeam have?

Zero, as of 2026-08-04. We would rather say that than invent a testimonial. Our own dated record, including the day we scored zero out of five on our own check, is public at proof.namebeam.ai.

Why would I trust a company with no customers?

Do not trust it. Audit it. Every figure we publish is dated and sourced, our own losses are on the same page as our wins, and the free check costs you nothing to verify. That is the whole argument.

What does the free check cost, and is there a catch?

Zero dollars, no card, no signup. The catch is that you might not like the transcript.

The Record

Namebeam runs receipts-first AI visibility checks: we show you what ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overview actually say about your business, as a dated transcript, and we publish our own record from zero, losses included.
